"So ..." Real Life
The "So ..." family of sites are unrelated to TV output of any kind, but serve as a popular web destination for young (11-15) people keen to read and find out about issues of real interest to them. Based upon the quality of work of previous projects for the BBC, Getfrank were commissioned to create a new look & feel for the "So ..." section of bbc.co.uk, a lifestyle and advice site aimed at 11-15 year-olds.

Solution

Also for the "So..." portal, Getfrank were commissioned by the BBC to develop an interactive Flash game taking dating and its conundrums as the theme, based upon the idea of Snakes & Ladders. Distinctive and eye-catching illustration, slick implementation and the usual fantastic BBC content combined to make Julia's dating game - given a Christmasy makeover at the end of 2002 - an entertaining and effective experience.

Outcome

Julia was entertaining people on the "So..." portal until the summer of 2003 but is sadly no longer offering advice - but she attracted lots of positive noises while she was there!
