Comedy Circuit

Channel 4, in conjunction with Learning direct, commissioned Getfrank to help create, and then design & build, the Comedy Circuit website - a cross between an online competition and a talent contest.

The aim was to find talented young comedy writers, with the winning entry having their comedy idea turned into a complete comedy website, also to be built by Getfrank.

Solution

Getfrank created the Comedy Circuit website using the idea of a writer's sketchbook complete with notes, doodles and the imprint of earlier versions of ideas. A rolling series of amendments ensured the design and content remained current and fresh.

Outcome

Channel 4 were delighted with the completed site, which ran the Coemdy Circuit competition for over a year which saw the fabulous Ian Vince emerge as the eventual winner with his Department of Social Scrutiny comedy idea.
