Department of Social Scrutiny As the final component of Channel4’s Comedy Circuit idea, Gefrank were asked to take the winning entry from that competition - DoSS - and turn it into a professional site. |

Solution The winner of the competition - Ian Vince - was a joy to work with, causing much hilarity in the Getfrank office with his dry, ascerbic copy and off-the-wall ideas. Getfrank produced an elaboration of Ian’s work that captured the essence of his original concept. To quote the man himself: "Just absolutely bundles of thanks for all your hard work on the site. And thanks for loaning your face for the mug shots, too. You are the Bicycle. Have you ever thought of a career in politics?" |
Outcome The DoSS site is a fabulous example of what the web can do, and how one person’s energy, creativity and comedy talents can reach a potentially huge audience. We had great fun doing it, too - never something to be underestimated.
