Museum of London February 2003 saw Getfrank pitching against some of the biggest e-learning agencies in the country for the contract to re-design the Museum of London’s Learning Online website - and winning.Getfrank were tasked by the Interpretation Unit of the Museum with creating a new "standalone" section of the wider Museum of London website, with a fresh, new accessible design that would appeal to the sites target demographic (teachers and key stage 3 and 4 students) as well as the visual devices of a new sub-brand that reflected the messaging of the Museum as a whole, whilst being significantly independent of it. |

Solution Working within the constraints of a small budget, Getfrank sought to express the aspirations of the Museum for Learning Online to be innovative and out-reaching, inclusive and accessible. Careful and exhaustive design, detailed user testing, and the diligence of Museum of London staff have ensured that the new design of Learning Online is a triumph of accessibility, good usability and eye-catching design. |
Outcome The new Learning Online website in August 2003 to wide acclaim from staff and museum visitors alike. |
