Strategic Rail Authority

As the SRA's web partner, Getfrank were asked in May 2003 to re-design and modernise their main corporate site to more accurately reflect its status as an important "medium of record". As the SRA has grown in maturity, its website has become more and more important, assuming the role of its main communication tool with the media and other industry stakeholders.

Solution

Getfrank had a challenge: create a new design whilst taking forward certain aspects of the brand, whilst at the same time doing the necessary technical build in the very short time scales that were required. Using sophisticated scripting and templating, Getfrank were able to migrate the thousands of pages of content from old site to the new site, using new, clearer, more modern design templates.

Outcome

The SRA are delighted with their re-designed site, and have asked Getfrank to create a powerful, open-source content management system to complement the new design.

"Getfrank helped us to transform our website from a worthy medium of record to a site that is an authoritative modern entry point to the SRA."
Ceri Evans, Communication Director, Strategic Rail Authority
